Lawsuit Filed To Stop Agenda 21 Takeover Of San Francisco

San FranciscoAgenda 21 allegations have spawned a lawsuit in San Francisco.

The Agenda 21 United Nations program is a voluntary, non-binding action plan which is allegedly focused solely on sustainable development. Adopted by 178 countries in 1992, the plan is based upon a program to abolish poverty and protect “fragile environments” by “properly” managing cities. Some charge the program wants to push all citizens into cities.

America is a “signatory” country to Agenda 21. Since the plan is a non-binding statement and not a treaty, a vote on the matter was deemed unnecessary. In the United States, more than 500 major- and moderate-sized cities are members of an international sustainability organization that reportedly supports the implementation of Agenda 21.

A group known as the Post Sustainability Institute recently filed a lawsuit to stop a project, Plan Bay Area, which is a San Francisco-area long-range transportation and land-use/housing strategy that has a finish target of 2040. According to the Plan Bay Area website, the goal is to “accommodate future population growth and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from cars and light trucks.” That is done by building neighborhoods that are “within walking distance of frequent transit service” and that offer “a wide variety of housing options” and feature grocery stores, community centers, and restaurants.”

New Relocation Manual Helps Average Americans Get Out Of Harms Way Before The Coming Crisis

“Maintaining our region’s high quality of life will depend on making wise decisions about transportation, housing and land use,” said Orinda Mayor Amy Rein Worth.

Agenda 21 was recently the topic of The Blaze TV’’s For The Record. The Republican Party opposed Agenda 21 in its 2012 platform, stating, “We strongly reject the U.N. Agenda 21 as erosive of American sovereignty.” Additionally, the Alabama legislature passed a bill banning participation in Agenda 21. It was signed by the governor.

The impact Agenda 21 could have on the very foundation of America is immense, yet the bulk of society knows little to nothing about the United Nations plan. One survey by the American Planning Association showed that 85 percent of Americans said they didn’t know enough information about Agenda 21 to form an opinion.

The Post Sustainability Institute was created to research the impact of the Agenda 21 plan on liberty in United States. The group tracks the progression of the program and forecasts its most likely results if the project proceeds unchecked by freedom-loving Americans. The group is non-partisan and is not linked to any governmental entity.

Rosa Koire, the executive director of the group, also authored Behind The Green Mask: UN Agenda 21 to further educate Americans about the dangers of the plan. Koire and Michael Shaw, of Freedom Advocates, filed the Agenda 21 lawsuit to stop the Plan Bay Area project. She was a district branch chief at the California Department of Transportation for almost three decades.

Koire said she began to realize that a “planning revolution” via redevelopment projects was sweeping the nation. After studying the political, corporate, and fiscal interests behind Agenda 21 and how the program would impact the daily lives of all Americans, she began speaking out, writing, and organizing efforts to thwart the United Nations plan.

She said the goal of Plan Bay Area is to get people to move from rural and urban land to city neighborhoods, thus increasing the city’s control over citizens’ environmental impact.

Rosa Koire had this to say about the dangers of Agenda 21 and Plan Bay Area:

The Post Sustainability Institute strongly objects to the tremendous overreach of Plan Bay Area in the imposition of regional governance over the voters and their elected representatives in the nine county, 101 city San Francisco Bay Area. The elevation of an unelected, unrepresentative body over the people of these municipalities is a violation of the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the US and California constitutions.

Agenda 21’s own language claims that “in industrialized countries, the consumption patterns of cities are severely stressing the global ecosystem.” It further says:

By the turn of the century, the majority of the world’s population will be living in cities. While urban settlements, particularly in developing countries, are showing many of the symptoms of the global environment and development crisis, they nevertheless generate 60 per cent of gross national product and, if properly managed, can develop the capacity to sustain their productivity, improve the living conditions of their residents and manage natural resources in a sustainable way.

As previously reported by Off The Grid News, several groups which actively support the concepts in Agenda 21 have been received at the White House during the Obama administration. The general belief held by those who are proponents of Agenda 21 is that global warming problems are expanded by those living outside of urban areas. A detailed map of the United States created by the UN Convention on Biological Diversity shows a mass relocation from suburbs and especially rural areas as a part of the program.
