Reader Suggests Cayenne Pepper In Shoes For Winter Survival

One thing that my wife and I carry [in our car] is insulated coveralls. Putting them on over your clothes will help keep your body heat in. Pocket warmers are also great as you can put them inside your coat and they will keep your heart warm, thereby warming your blood as it runs through it. Cayenne pepper in your shoes can deliver a warmth to your feet, also keeping your blood warm. Winter boots for just in case you have to walk. You do not need real expensive ones, even rubber galoshes will keep your feet dry and create an air space between the cold and you. I have worked outside and lived in the woods most of my adult life and the one thing to remember is to stay as warm as possible. I also carry candles, and when stuck somewhere have used them to stay warm. We carry a plastic tub w/ lid in the backseat with all of our gear and a cooler with food and water. The cooler will keep your water from freezing if left in the car. Stay prepared my friends.

Cold frames are great because they aren’t as expensive as greenhouses, but they allow for earlier sprouting in cold climates. I absolutely love my cold frames.

NO, children should NOT be taken from their parents for allegations of improperly administered medicine, not without concrete proof. If the dosage is too low, instruct the parents how to administer more, or if it needs to be changed, instruct the parents. Parents are not stupid, but they do need to learn how to care for a child with special needs. They need support from the medical team, not harassment or punishment.
