MSNBC’s Agenda Revealed… The Community Owns Your Kids

NEW YORK, NY – MSNBC seems to be going out of its way to identify itself more as a far-left political identity than a news organization with its Lean Forward campaign. A new thirty-second promo for the campaign features Dr. Melissa Harris-Perry and her belief against the “private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families,” and instead encourages a “collective notion” that kids “are our children”—that they belong to the community. “We have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids

FCC Wants Full-Frontal Nudity And Stronger Explicatives On Your TV

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Federal Communications Commission released a public notice this week announcing its decision to consider lessening its indecency standards to allow for explicatives that have formally been banned and occasional full frontal nudity. The FCC’s official reason for rethinking its indecency standards is in order to comply with “vital First Amendment principles” established in recent Supreme Court cases. It is also seeking to further reduce a backlog of over 1 million complaints it has manage to pare down by 70 percent. A reading of the proposed changes show that the FCC is

Big Brother Spies On Your Students

This March, the South by Southwest Education Technology Conference in Austin, Texas unveiled an enormous database holding the personal information of millions of school-aged children currently enrolled in public schools across the country. The project, dubbed inBloom, already has the support of nine states, encompassing Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, New York and North Carolina, and others may soon follow suit. Funded by the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation, which was worth $36.4 billion dollars earlier this year, the database will enable the free sharing of public student data with private companies nationwide. What’s

Teach Your Kids The Love Of Living Off-The-Grid

Living off the grid is a independent, ethical living choice that we make in and out each day. While this is a fulfilling life choice, it can be difficult to get your kids enthusiastic about self reliant living at a young age. While your kids may love being outdoors, they may not be motivated to

Life As Learning: Homeschooling And Gardening

One of the wonderful things about homeschooling is that every aspect of life is an opportunity for learning. Whether you have a tiny urban plot or a full-fledged homestead, a family vegetable garden perfectly fits the bill of learning through life. Planning The Garden The first step in preparing a vegetable garden, of course, is

The Shocking Link Between Peanut Allergies And Vaccines

One of the most serious allergies in young children, peanut allergies are on the rise, and experts suggest that childhood vaccinations might be a culprit. According to a recent Natural News source, over one million children live with peanut allergies in the United States, while a hundred years ago the allergy was nearly unheard of. It seems unlikely that the recent rise in peanut allergies is attributed solely to exposure to the allergen, because peanuts have been a common food source for as long as agriculture has been part of our world. On the other

Gun Safety In The Home

Why do many of us own guns? I own guns for several reasons: hunting, plinking, and competition are just a few, not to mention it’s my God-given right as an American. The most important reason, of course, is the defense of my family and myself. Owning a weapon is a right and a responsibility, and

Educating Children For Economic Survival

Educating children for economic survival can be very difficult, especially in a society where most adults don’t even know how to survive or thrive economically. Instead, most adults go through life making financial mistake after financial mistake that leaves them unable to save money or even pay the bills. This problem begins in childhood because most children learn little or nothing about money. They grow up thinking “money is something I ask Mommy and Daddy for” and “Mommy and Daddy will always be there to take care of me,” and they keep that attitude all

How We Can Battle Obesity For America’s Children

There is no question that our weight has become a huge issue in the United States. (No pun intended!) The number of adults who are overweight is staggering, and the number of those who are obese is even more shocking.  When was the last time you noticed an overweight individual when you were out and about and couldn’t help but make a comment? We all do it. We make assumptions about people’s lifestyles and assume that we could do a better job of managing their weight than we can our own weight. Yes, I count

Bringing Them Down To Earth: The Entitlement Mindset In American Youth

Researchers and parents alike are agreeing that today’s adolescents and young adults are more self-absorbed than ever, perhaps accurately named Generation Me. While today’s fifteen-to twenty-five-year olds are the first to grow up with advanced technology and the Internet at their fingertips, it seems that they aren’t using any of these resources to establish a work ethic or any meaningful success. This is baffling to anyone who studied Generation Y in the early 2000s, when most of these young adults were teenagers or even younger. Early studies and portraits of Generation Y had subtitles like
