Saudi Arabian Man Arrested At Detroit Airport With Pressure Cooker

A man from Saudi Arabia was carrying a pressure cooker when reportedly arrested at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport on May 11. Hussain Al Kwawahir flew from his home country and through Amsterdam before reaching the United States. Kwawahir supposedly told law enforcement officials that he was in America to visit a nephew attending the University of Toledo. Hussain Al Kwawahir was scheduled to appear in federal court on charges related to allegedly lying to a Customs and Border Protection agent. 80 Percent Increase in Cross-Border Tunnels Used for Trafficking Drugs Since 2008

WASHINGTON, DC – The Office of Inspector General for the Department of Homeland Security recently released its final report on Customs and Border Protection’s strategy in which it says that “tunnel activity” has been increased by 80% since 2008. “Since 1990, law enforcement officials have discovered more than 140 tunnels that have breached the U.S. border, with an 80 percent increase in tunnel activity occurring since 2008,” the report stated in its executive summary. Only One-Fourth of Officers believe Army is Headed in the Right Direction

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A recently published survey that was conducted internally in the Army in 2011 shows that only 26 percent of active-duty Army officers believe the Army is headed in the right direction. Many of those surveyed identified “political correctness” imposed by both outside policymakers and senior Army leaders as the driving factor in what they perceived as a decline in their branch of the U.S. military.
