The key to your family’s financial survival is your assets, namely your money and your property. Therefore, protecting your assets must be one of your family’s top survival priorities. Unfortunately, many preppers put far more thought and effort into physical survival (storing food, etc.) than into protecting assets, even though protecting them is often just as important. There are two major threats to your family’s assets in today’s world: confiscation and inflation. Confiscation means that government will try to seize all or part of your funds through taxes or simply by taking it. Confiscation isn’t

The online female prepping star known as Survivor Jane was just your typical career woman going about her daily life, until everything about her entire life perspective was altered during an attempted robbery. The old saying “the straw that broke the camel’s back” may be a cliché, but it accurately describes the scenario that prompted Jane to begin focusing on a more self-reliant existence. Jane already knew how to handle a gun but was not skilled in other modes of preparedness. She embarked on a journey of self-discovery and education that led to the creation

Recently, a small firestorm was ignited by Valerie Lucus-McEwen, a government emergency management employee, who had the temerity to accuse preppers of “selfishness.” While your immediate reaction may be – as mine certainly was – “Are people really and truly this thoughtless?” this question does deserve a proper answer, particularly as those who are easily influenced by the leftist media or who believe the state really and actually is the omniscient, omnipotent savior of our personal and corporate lives are actually asking this question. So, let’s examine the issue. First, many preparedness types have, as

The world has very little mercy for preparedness-minded souls and Christians. Everywhere you turn, there seems to be someone who looks down on your point of view and your lifestyle. These “superior minds” have evolved past “primitive” belief systems, and they know there’s no reason to worry about things in this “modern” era of technology and conveniences. Running into these people used to leave me fuming for days. They were so smug in their mindset and so arrogant in the way that they talked down to me when speaking of my faith and my habits.

Despite all the pleas to the general public to be prepared, most people don’t think disaster will strike them. They’ll mumble about the need to lay in some supplies just in case “something” happens and then never do it. They’ll go about their day, blissfully in denial about the ability of life to be transformed

We never know how we are going to react in a situation until we find ourselves in it. That is the reality of humankind. Our lives function on precariously balanced systems; one tiny nudge in any direction, one small variable change, can have a catastrophic effect on life as we know it. It does not matter the form the variable shift takes: natural disaster, EMP, war, or any other unknown element. The fact of the matter is that the unknown can bring out the animal in mankind. We simply need to know what we will

“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.” Jim Rohn There is a lot that goes into living the life of a prepper. Constant sources of stress can find us on our knees in prayer and supplication. There is a constant “to do” list that needs
