Elizabeth Warren lied for decades about her ancestry and yet she still wants to pursue the presidency.

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren lied for decades about her ancestry. In fact, Warren claimed her race as “American Indian” in documents from the 1980s.

For example, Warren [1] calls herself an Indian on a 1986 Texas State Bar registration form, The Washington Post reports. Warren also lists “American Indian” as her race on many other documents.

Notwithstanding, Warren lists her race as white in other paperwork from the 1980s, The Boston Globe states. For instance, Warren asserts that she is white on a 1981 University of Texas personnel form.

In addition, Warren lists her race as white on a 1988 University of Texas form. However, Warren states that she is American Indian on the 1986 bar registration.

On the other hand, Warren claimed she was a Cherokee as early as 1984 in a cookbook, Fox News discloses. Furthermore, Warren calls herself a minority [2] in a listing for the 1986 to 1995 American Law School Directories of Faculty.

In particular, Warren was a law professor at the University of Texas in the 1980s. So, Warren lied for decades about her ancestry while she taught law.

Elizabeth Warren Lied For Decades About Her Ancestry At Harvard

Warren’s lies about her ancestry were apparently successful. Specifically, faculty members at Harvard believed that Warren was a Native American.

Warren told people she was Cherokee in 1995 when she taught at Harvard Law School. Moreover, a 1996 article in the Harvard Crimson student newspaper reveals that administrators and faculty thought Warren was an Indian at the time.

Additionally, a 2005 document from the University of Pennsylvania Law School describes Warren as a “past minority faculty member.” Warren had taught at the University of Pennsylvania in the 1980s and 1990s.

Elizabeth Warren Is A Millionaire

Warren is a Democratic U.S. Senator from Massachusetts and a progressive who favors high taxes on the rich. Nevertheless, Warren herself is worth between $4 million and $10 million.

Particularly, Warren’s tax filings [3] confirm that the Senator’s income is within this range. Fox News discloses that Warren is making money from royalties on books and other publications. Meanwhile, the tax forms further state that Warren is still an emeritus professor at Harvard.

Yet, Warren is calling for a wealth tax on Americans worth more than $50 million. As a result, the wealth tax would not end up affecting Warren at all.

Elizabeth Warren Lied For Decades About Her Ancestry And Yet She Still Wants To Be President

Warren’s lies are not helping her bid for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. At this point, bettors do not even take Warren’s presidential bid seriously.

To illustrate, Oddshark calculates that five people have better presidential odds [4] than Warren. Specifically, those candidates are President Donald J. Trump (R-New York), Senator Kamala Harris (D-California), Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas), and former Vice President Joe Biden (D-Delaware).

Significantly, Trump is leading the presidential race with odds of 220 to one. The leading Democrat is Harris [5] with odds of 500 to one.

Unlike Warren, Kamala Harris [6] really is an Indian as her mother was an immigrant from India. In addition, Harris’s father is from Jamaica.

How Elizabeth Warren Lied For Decades About Her Ancestry

Conversely, Elizabeth Warren [7] lied for decades about her ancestry. Nonetheless, there is no evidence Warren’s lies landed her a job at Harvard, Snopes claims.

In reality, it is not clear if Warren, a native of Oklahoma, has Cherokee ancestry, CNN reports. Instead, a DNA test shows Warren could have had a Native American ancestor 10 generations ago.

Tellingly, Warren is now admitting her lies and even apologized [8] to the Cherokee Nation. Warren made her confession in a prepared statement to the Cherokee nation, a press release reveals.
