Monsanto will now face another lawsuit over the GMO wheat [1] found in Oregon. A second Kansas farmer filed a lawsuit against the biotech giant. Harvey County wheat farmer Bill Budde filed court papers seeking class action status against Monsanto in a Kansas federal court.
As previously reported by Off The Grid News, genetically engineered wheat (GE wheat) was found in an Oregon field in May. Wheat prices declined drastically quickly after the discovery of the GMO wheat. Foreign officials also promptly cancelled wheat orders from American farmers out of fear the entire crop population in the United States had been compromised.
Monsanto [2] lawsuits stemming from the genetically modified wheat have also been filed recently in Washington state and Idaho.
