Education And Its Role In The Election

Obama’s 2012 presidential win was shaped in the American classroom. Progressives, humanists, liberals, and Democrats dedicated to educating the electorate have been granted unfettered control to manipulate curricula in their favor. While each subject taught in schools and each type of educational setting has become an opportunity to change the political and social values of Americans, most educational-policy people focused on history or social studies curricula to implement this change. The consequences are evident in Vice President Joe Biden’s blatant misrepresentation of history with the phrase, “They’re going to put y’all back in chains,” which successfully frightened many voters and received barely a whimper of protest from conservatives.

Had American classrooms provided a fact-based understanding of basic American history, our citizens would not have fallen for this outrageous falsehood. If taxpayers were dedicated to a fact-based education, each conservative candidate could have aggressively addressed the Biden comments with outrage. No matter what issue the reporter wanted discussed, the conservative candidate should have addressed the deceit behind Biden’s statement.

This election result was a direct product of an American public whose new modern secular humanistic educational system has failed them. Progressive educational experts have created a public that is illiterate of historical facts. Because education impacts social and political outcomes, the following factual history lessons would have enlightened the electorate.

Our founding fathers tried to ban slavery in the constitution, but Southerners threatened to reject the entire constitution. To get these Southerners to accept the idea that slaves were individuals and not property, the founders compromised and included language that assured that three-fifths of the enumerated population of slaves would be counted FOR REPRESENTATION PURPOSES regarding both the distribution of taxes and the apportionment of the members of the United States House of Representatives.

When Republicans agree to compromise, Democrats have historically used that compromise against Republicans. The compromise made by our founders has been distorted to say that Republicans saw each slave as only three-fifths of a person. When Republicans remain silent, distortions become acceptable.

The Democratic Party was formed in 1792 and identified itself as the “white man’s party” while demonizing the Republican Party as being “Negro dominated”.  An excellent PBS presentation called “The Rise and Fall of Jim Crow” explains that “Northern Democrats, most of whom had prejudicial attitudes towards blacks, offered no challenge to the discriminatory policies of the Southern Democrats.”

Republican Senator Trumbull wrote the first civil rights act, the 1866 Civil Rights Act, which gave U.S. citizenship to all African Americans with “full and equal benefit of all laws and proceeding for the security of person and property as is enjoyed by white citizens.” Many history professors today ignore this fact because most Democrats voted against the 1866 Civil Rights Act and most Republicans voted for it. Senator Trumbull also co-authored the 13th Amendment banning slavery. Conservatives have an obligation to remind Americans of these historical facts.

Also known as the Ku Klux Klan Act, The Civil Rights Act of 1871 was written by Republicans to stop the ethnic violence against blacks. White and black Republicans were the original targets of the KKK. Democrats started the KKK to intimidate the black Republicans serving in congress. An estimated 3,446 blacks and 1,297 whites were hanged by KKK members between 1882 and 1964. Black Republicans like Frederick Douglass initiated Civil Rights laws.

The first grand wizard of the KKK was honored at the 1868 Democratic Convention. No Democrats voted for the 14th Amendment that granted citizenship to former slaves. The KKK terrorized black Americans until they would promise not to vote for Republican tickets. A death sentence was enforced upon anyone who broke this oath.

Despite the fact that a thirteen-volume set of congressional investigations from 1872 irrefutably documents these facts, conservatives allow Democrats to perpetuate falsehoods with impunity. Citizens aid the Democrats when they adopt the language of the left calling America a democracy when America is a republic. Citizens must refute the false premise that tax cuts cost the government money and that government is a source for job creation, etc. Unless citizens use every opportunity to educate and inform the population of accurate historical facts and organize supporters to demand the same level of respect for all candidates, the Democratic Party will continue to win through manipulation and distortion of facts.

Progressives and modern secular humanists who play a major role in shaping educational policy have created a society that is incapable of identifying deceit and manipulation.  Our society has become so poorly informed that people no longer recognize these actions as destructive. Each American citizen shares responsibility for the ignorance of the American public.

Conservatives must correct the weaknesses in the public educational system and hold Democrats accountable for disseminating falsehoods. Conservatives must protect their candidates from abusive political tactics.

Not only does the educational system shape political outcomes, but poll workers also influence results. Poll workers across America were warned not to have anything political present at the polling place. No newspapers, pins, buttons, shirts etc. But one polling place in Philadelphia had a mural of President Obama and the words “change” and “hope” on the wall behind voting machines. Had that been a mural of a conservative president during his election, the Democrat poll workers would have covered the art with yards of butcher paper available in most schools. Where was the outrage from conservative leadership and voters? Where were the conservative poll workers?

Wisconsin law requires an equal number of Republican and Democrat poll workers. Some counties do not honor that law even though there have been many complaints. When conservatives are asked to become a poll worker, they explain that “I do not see myself sitting there all day.” Until Republicans and conservatives assume responsibility for protecting our republic through active involvement in every institution, the Democrats will enjoy many future victories.
