Fight the Big Drug Companies – Vitamin D and Sunshine as Preventative Medicine
Share on FacebookShare on XShare on TruthEmail Article

In this era of corporate greed and government trickery, we’re all slaves to the pharmaceutical giants.  If you or a loved one gets sick, you’ve got no choice but to rely on the care of this massive, incompetent bureaucracy.  What’s the best way to fight the medical industry?  Stay healthy and boycott!

A recent study by Oxford University sheds new light on the healing properties of vitamin D and sunshine.  Once again, science is proving what folks have known for generations —natural prevention is best.

Vitamin D is activated by sunshine.  According to the study, this activation affects more than 223 genes throughout the body.  Although not every gene is known, among the affected genes are the ones that cause multiple sclerosis, diabetes, arthritis, dementia and certain types of cancer.

In medical science, there are nature and nurture factors that influence a person’s health.  Some diseases are known to be activated by certain genes in the body.  If you have this gene, it’s not a certainty that you’ll develop the disease—it’s just a tendency.  Environmental factors play a large part in whether these genetic predispositions will manifest themselves.

This study found that certain genes are affected by the activation of sunlight and vitamin D.  Although every gene is not known, the study found that genes which cause arthritis, diabetes, certain types of cancer, dementia and multiple sclerosis, are affected by vitamin D.  This means that exposure to sunlight, along with vitamin D supplements, can prevent you from developing these diseases and much more.

Recently, actress Gwyneth Paltrow made the announcement that she is suffering from osteopenia.  This is a thinning of the bones that can lead to osteoporosis.  What did her doctors recommend for treatment?  More vitamin D and sunshine.  Her announcement came right on the heels of this Oxford University study.

Dr. Sreeram Ramagopalan of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics at Oxford recommends taking vitamin D supplements and getting about 20 minutes of sun with no sunscreen each day.  Because too many vitamin D supplements can be toxic, don’t exceed recommended dosage.  Follow the instructions with the supplements or ask your doctor.
