Have you resolved to quit smoking? If you have, consider using herbal remedies to help you cut down or quit. Herbs can simultaneously make quitting easier and improve your health.

It is a common weed throughout much of the US and Canada.

Even more effective than the leaves of the mullein plant are the roots, which have stronger relaxing actions. This soothes inflamed, tight airway tissues as well as helps you to feel calmer during the quitting process. Use the same proportions of the root as you do for the leaves. Instead of pouring boiling water over the leaves, simmer the root for 20 minutes, covered. Then strain out the root and drink the tea.
