When I had to decide whether or not to vaccinate my children, I thought about a little boy that I once knew.
Timothy was a two-year-old boy with Down syndrome whose vaccination went terribly wrong. Following a checkup with several routine shots, he spiked a high fever. His mother gave him Tylenol and took him to the hospital, but there was nothing more that the doctors could do.
Shortly thereafter, Timothy died in his parents’ arms.
Perhaps like me, you may have known a child who was hurt or even died as a result of vaccines. And if you’re a parent, you need to question whether vaccines are even safe.
Becoming a parent has led me to study the safety of vaccines. And as a result of my research, I have discovered some questionable practices of Big Pharma. Here are two of the primary reasons why I don’t vaccinate my children.
Reason #1: Vaccines Contain Harmful Ingredients
Curious to see what the ingredients were in vaccines, I checked on the CDC website. The most interesting ingredients from vaccines include: human diploid cells, formaldehyde, monkey kidney cells, guinea pig embryo cells and bovine calf serum.
These ingredients should shock anyone. Would you knowingly inject a syringe into your child with these ingredients? There are many dangerous ingredients in vaccines, but two of the most harmful are aluminum and thimerosal.
Too much aluminum can cause neurological problems. It can build up in the body and can be fatal in patients with weak kidneys or in premature babies.
The FDA even requires that anything that includes more than 25 mcg of aluminum be given a label that says:
WARNING: This product contains aluminum that may be toxic. Aluminum may reach toxic levels with prolonged parenteral administration if kidney function is impaired. Premature neonates are particularly at risk because their kidneys are immature, and they require large amounts of calcium and phosphate solutions, which contain aluminum.
Research indicates that patients with impaired kidney function, including premature neonates, who receive parenteral levels of aluminum at greater than 4 to 5 [micro]g/kg/day accumulate aluminum at levels associated with central nervous system and bone toxicity. Tissue loading may occur at even lower rates of administration.
Although they are not required to have this aluminum warning on their labels, vaccines far exceed this amount. Some vaccines, such as hepatitis B, are given at birth and contain around 250 mcg of aluminum.
The most aluminum that a newborn should have is around 18 mcg. So when a newborn receives a hepatitis B shot, it is almost 14 times the amount of aluminum that they should receive. Most children receive several shots each doctor’s visit, which means that some babies receive up to 1,000 mcg of aluminum at each doctor’s visit!
Vaccines aren’t made with mercury anymore, right? Wrong. Even the FDA openly admits that thimerosal is composed of 50 percent mercury.

Big Pharma will try to convince you that the amount of mercury is only a trace amount and is harmless. But if the mercury in vaccines is harmless, then why are expired vaccines labeled as hazardous waste before they are disposed?
When we take a closer look at how much mercury is considered toxic, we realize that the trace amount of mercury that the FDA says is in vaccines is actually quite deadly.
Keep in mind the following facts from Sailhome.org:
- 2 ppb of mercury in the public water supply is considered to be the limit.
- 200 ppb of mercury in liquid is considered to be toxic waste.
- Infants are given flu shots that contain 25,000 ppb of mercury.
- Children, pregnant women, and the elderly are given flu shots that contain 50,000 ppb of mercury.
When infants or young children are exposed to mercury, they are especially vulnerable to this neurotoxin because it can delay learning motor function and may lead to mental disorders.
If an ingredient is considered to be toxic in even small amounts, why take the chance by including it in vaccines?
Reason #2: Vaccines are Developed Through Aborted Fetal Cells
There are 11 vaccines in the U.S. that contain compounds from aborted fetal cell lines. These cell lines are labeled as MRC-5 and WI-38. Even product inserts in vaccines show that they used these aborted fetal cells.
Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute, an ethical pharmaceutical company, also confirms this on their website,
“Almost 92% of our children have been given vaccines made using aborted fetal cell lines, which are contaminated with aborted fetal cell DNA and a retrovirus. This has happened without our knowledge or consent!”

Using these vaccines presents an ethical dilemma, especially for Christian parents. I am reminded of the words of David in Psalm 139:13, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
And it doesn’t stop with just vaccines. Many food companies use aborted fetal cell lines to develop their food products as well!
According to a chart from Children of God for Life (COG), some companies use aborted fetal cells in their products. These vaccines below are made from aborted fetal cell lines and may contain fetal material.
Vaccines Developed Through Aborted Fetal Cells and the Manufacturers:
- Adenovirus 5,7 (Barr Laboratories )
- MMR II: Measles + Mumps + Rubella (Merck)
- ProQuad: MMR + Chickenpox (Merck)
- Varivax: Chickenpox (Merck)
- Pentacel: Polio + DTaP + HiB – (Sanofi Pasteur)
- Vaqta: Hepatitis-A (Merck)
- Havrix: Hepatitis-A (Glaxo SmithKline)
- Twinrix: Hepatitis-A and B combo (Glaxo)
- Zostavax: Shingles (Merck)
- Imovax: Rabies (Sanofi Pasteur)
- Acambis 1000: Smallpox (Acambis)
Although Big Pharma has recently made some alternative vaccinations that are not developed from aborted fetal cells, there are still no alternatives for measles and mumps. None of the 2013-2014 flu vaccines were developed from aborted fetal cells; however I would never recommend them.
Are these vaccines that contained cultures from aborted fetal cell lines safe? We don’t know. Studies still need to be done, preferably by ethical pharmaceutical companies—in order to determine the consequences of injecting vaccines which contain aborted fetal DNA.
Do you remember Timothy, the two-year-old boy who died from a high fever immediately following a vaccination? He was my brother.
When I think about the death of my brother and realize how unethical practices of pharmaceutical companies are, my decision not to vaccinate my children has been one of my best decisions as a parent.
But this is a personal decision that each parent must face. Perhaps you are still trying to decide whether or not you should have your child or children vaccinated. If so, I would encourage you to seek the Lord.
Ultimately, the Lord will give you wisdom as a parent to make this important decision. We read in James, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you,” (James 1:5).
