“It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
— Joanne Kathleen Rowling
Every morning when we wake up, we are faced with choices. They can be as simple as what we will wear for the day or as difficult as where our food for the day may come. But these decisions do not end in the morning; they continue all throughout the day. In fact, every minute of every day is filled with choices we have to make.
Unfortunately, sometimes we make the wrong choice. We may pick the wrong outfit to wear to a job interview; we may choose the wrong food source for dinner and end up with nothing to eat. For years, we may feel as if our lives are nothing more than a series of bad choices. But, life will go on. The reality is that life is made of both wrong and right decisions and if we focus on only the bad choices, we can become overwhelmed.
Our choices have the ability to determine our destination. For every situation we find ourselves in as a result of a bad choice, we can turn things around with a good one. The wonderful truth of our life is that choices drive everything and for every poor choice we make, a good one is right on the other side. We simply have to evaluate our choices and make the determination of what is best for us.
No one can make choices for us; they are ours alone. But, we can surround ourselves with those who give wonderful advice that is based on living, experience, and scripture.
