You are missing the best part, the flower. It has become an annual tradition of my family’s to gather a couple of gallons of the bright yellow flowers and make two of the most heavenly products, dandelion jelly and my favorite, dandelion wine. Both of them taste wonderful, are easy to make. Just another one of God’s perfect and free gifts.

I use to spray any weed I saw in my yard with a herbicide, but now that I’m older and don’t feel like maintaining a “million dollar yard” I think I’ll eat those weeds from now on.
